๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ THE UNIVERSAL SCAM CHECKLIST

BEFORE PAYING ANY CONSULTANT, CHECK THESE 5 RED FLAGS:

1. Personal Email Real agents use @company.com. If they use @gmail.com or @yahoo.com, they are 99% fake.
2. Guaranteed Visa No agent can guarantee a visa. Only a government officer can. "100% Guaranteed" = 100% Scam.
3. Cash Payments Never pay in cash or to a personal bank account. Always pay to a Registered Company Account with a GST invoice.
4. Fake Websites Check the URL. Govt websites end in .gov, .govt, .gc.ca, or .gov.au. If it ends in .com-immigration.in, it is fake.
5. Selection Without Interview If you receive a "Selection Letter" or "Offer Letter" without a video call or physical interview with the employer, it is 100% fake. No real company hires international staff blindly.
6. Original Passport Deposit Never leave your original passport with an agent. It is a government-issued document and your only protection. Fake agents "trap" candidates by holding their passports for ransom.
7. Selection via WhatsApp/Telegram Official recruiters use LinkedIn, Glassdoor, or official job portals. If the entire "hiring process" happens only on WhatsApp or Telegram with no physical office to visit, it is a scam.
8. The "GAMCA" Medical Scam In India, scammers often send you to specific clinics for expensive "Medical Tests" before you even have an interview. **Real Process:** Medicals only happen AFTER an official offer letter is issued and verified.
9. Training / File Opening Fees Common Indian Scam: "Pay โ‚น10,000 for personality development or file opening to get an interview." **Truth:** Real employers pay the recruiters. You should never pay for "interviews."
10. The "Open Work Permit" Lie Many Indian agents sell "Open Work Permits" for Canada or Europe. **Truth:** Open Work Permits are usually for spouses of students or highly specific cases. You cannot simply "buy" one from an agent in Punjab or Kerala.
11. Tourist-to-Work Conversion A massive scam in India where agents say: "Go to the country on a 1-month Tourist Visa, and our partner will convert it to a Work Permit there."

The Truth: In most Tier-1 countries (UK, USA, Canada, Australia), it is either illegal or extremely difficult to convert a visitor visa to a work visa from within the country. Candidates often end up stranded, working illegally for low wages, or being deported with a 10-year ban. Always demand a Work Visa (Entry Permit) before you fly.
11. Job Before Visa In most countries (except Gulf), you need a **Job Offer (LMIA/COS)** before a work visa. Agents selling "Open Work Permits" are usually lying.
